Genshin Impact: Everything We Know About Cyno

Genshin Impact is a relatively young game, but it has a wide following. There are several different playable characters to choose from. A teaser showed that a new character named Cyno is soon to make an appearance.

FIRST APPEARANCE

Cyno is introduced as a character who is heavily associated with the Dendro Nation – Sumeru. This indicates that he would play a significant role in that country. First seen in Chapter 12 of the official manga, he appeared in the storyline preview of the Teyvat Chapter.

The trailer suggests that the Sumeru theme is somewhat related to ancient Egypt. It is also apparent that Cyno wears clothing inspired by Anubis.

PERSONALITY

Cyno looks rather distant and prefers things to be clear and concise. He is very composed and doesn’t seem to be emotional. A brilliant character, it seems that he is quite interested in Fatui’s strange experiments behind closed doors.

The teaser also reveals that Cyno helps Collie get her abilities under control.

APPEARANCE

Cyno, a young man with tan skin, red-orange eyes, and medium-length gray hair, wields a polearm.

The inspiration for his clothes is the traditional Arabic outfits, just as the culture in his region. His headstock, on the other hand, is closer to the Egyptian inspiration. Cyno’s clothing is close to the ancient dancer outfits during the Middle East trade boom. Inspired by stories such as the One Thousand and One Nights, and ancient storytelling such as Aladdin.

ELEMENT?

As this character is still coming, no information is available as to what element he uses. Information suggests that could be a geo consumer based on the Egyptian subject. This is the state that adores the God of knowledge, the Archon Dendro. Lisa also attended Sumeru Academy for her studies.

If we assume Cyno’s gameplay style based on what we know, he might have elemental burst forms that seal enemies (or an area inside the seal in the manga). Thus, weakening their elemental attacks while applying Crystallize to the enemy, which gives you elemental shields.
