Pokemon GO: How to Find Landorus

From March 1st, with the worldwide start of the Season of Legends, Landorus has started to appear again in the Pokémon Go raids.

With this rotation, the content for Pokémon Day and the Kanto Celebration has officially ended and Landorus is now the only Pokémon available in five-star raids.

This pokemon is the first Force of Nature to reappear in the game and, if you’re lucky, you can also find a shiny Landorus. It’s just the start of a ton of content centered on Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus, who will be the focus of the Season of Legends.

The reason the trio of geniuses is showing up again is the future launch of their alternative forms, the Therian forms. Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus have already been available in their Incarnate forms, but this will be the first time that their Therian forms are available in the game.

At the moment, only Landorus in its Incarnate form is available in raids, but the rotation between Pokémon will be fast.

Check out this schedule for the Forces of Nature:

  • Landorus: March 1 – 6
  • Tornadus: March 6 -11
  • Thundurus: March 11 -16
  • Thundurus: March 16 – 30
  • Tornadus: March 30
  • Landorus: To be announced

Landorus is a raid Pokémon with 47,444 CP. The Landorus Avatar form is notable for its potent offensive capabilities, with 261 ATK, 182 DEF, and 205 RES. If the maximum is 4057 CP at level 50, you can use that as a reference; at level 40, the maximum is 3588 PC. This is a Ground and Flying-type. For this reason, it has a great weakness: Ice-type movements. Pokémon like Mamoswine, Glaceon, or Kyurem can wreak havoc on you. In addition, it is also weak against Water-type pokemons. Have creatures like Gyarados or Swampert in the chamber.

Rock Throw and Earth Power are two of his best moves. We must be especially cautious if we have a Dragon-type Pokémon in our team. It is not recommended because Anger will destroy you. Also, if you use an avalanche and we have Flying-type Pokémon, which we consider discarded to avoid scares, be careful. The following is our suggested team.

Landorus Best Counters

  • Galarian Darmanitan: Ice Fang and Avalanche
  • Jynx: Frost Vapor and Avalanche
  • Mamoswine: Powder Snow and Avalanche
  • Weavile: Frozen Song and Avalanche
  • Glaceon: Icy Vapor (or Icy Song) and Avalanche
  • Abomasnow (better if Mega): Powder Snow and Meteorball
  • Mewtwo: Psychocut and Ice Beam
