Genshin Impact Fontaine Leaks, Release Date & more

Fontaine is the home of the Hydro Archon in Genshin Impact. One of the most popular leakers for the game, GesnhinBLANK, has revealed that Sumeru is located north of this upcoming Sumeru region and connected to Liyue.

About Fontaine

According to numerous leaks, Genshin Impact‘s Act 4 will apparently take place in Fontaine which means that players will most likely have the option to explore the new region in Version 4.0 which should arrive in 2023. Most of the information about Fontaine comes from its NPCs from all over Teyvat.

Two popular examples are the popular toymaker, Bertrand, and the businessman, Xavier. Both of these characters are from Fontaine, and they have their own World Quests in Genshin Impact.

The only confirmed playable characters are Lynette and Lyney who were featured in one of Genshin Impact‘s story trailers. The two appear to be siblings and have unique clothing style.

Genshin Impact Fontaine release date

Currently, Hoyoverse hasn’t announced a release date for Fontaine. In the Teyvat Chapter Storyline preview, Fontaine was noted as chapter IV, with its Archon Quest line taking the name ‘Masquerade of the Guilty’. Therefore, we’ll likely see Fontaine in version 4.0.

Mihoyo released Genshin Impact’s Inazuma back in July 2021. Leaks suggest it will go on until around August this year. If our exploration of Sumeru is to last as long as that of Inazuma, we can estimate that we will only get Fontaine around July-August 2023.
