Yaoyao New Leaks | Genshin Impact

Yaoyao is an NPC in Genshin Impact. She was Xiangling’s junior disciple under the same martial arts master but has since become an assistant for Ganyu.

One of the most credible leakers in the community, SaveYourPrimos, has revealed that Yaoyao will be a part of version 3.4. According to HoYoverse’s usual update schedule, update 3.4 should arrive in the first half of February. Yaoyao has been mentioned in numerous rumors and her model was leaked back in the original beta.

In fact, out of the eight leaked character models, Yaoyao is the only one that hasn’t joined the playable roster yet. One of the main reasons why she was not part of the first couple of Sumeru updates could be the fact that she belongs to the Liyue region.

Her release will most likely be a part of the Lantern Rite festival, an annual Genshin Impact event celebrating the Chinese New Year. A number of replies in the comment section claim that they hope developer HoYoverse makes Yaoyao obtainable for free during the event since they always give out at least one four-star character during the Lantern Rite festival. This character has made multiple appearances in Genshin Impact’s official artworks which confirms that she will be a playable character in the future.

Personality

Whenever The Crux stocks up at Liyue Harbor, she often goes on board to play with them until they set sail. However, this has also caused problems as someone in the Ministry of Civil Affairs tasked Ganyu to ensure she doesn’t sneak onto their ship. She also has taken a liking to seafood, neglecting fruits and vegetables in her diet.
