Digimon World: Next Order – Review
Our Score: 8/10
Digimon World: Next Order is a monster-collecting role-playing game in which you play as a Digidestined tasked with bringing peace to the planet where Machinedramon has gone amok in the digital world, and the result is total anarchy.
Bring DigiOrder
Your mission as a Digimon tamer in Digimon World: Next Order is to level up your companion Digimon in order to take down the Machinedramons and other threats plaguing the Digimon universe. Also, you’ll be enlisting Digimon to help with the Floatia restoration process. There are a lot of moving parts in this game, and you’ll need a Digivice to keep track of them all. The Digivice may be used to access your tamer abilities as well as to examine the map, your digimail, your unlocked digivolution requirements, and your digivolution progress. Here, you may level up in the fundamental, trainer, survivor, and commander systems, all of which contribute to your overall effectiveness as a tamer. Throughout training, combat, and throughout your quest, you will see the benefits of unlocking more content.
Training Montage Galore
The development of your Digimon is tied to the decisions and actions you make during the game, and the development of your Digimon is tied to the difficulty of the game’s adversaries. As a result, you should avoid some zones until your party members have reached a high enough level to handle them safely. After selecting between the male protagonist Takuto and the female protagonist Shiki, the opening sequence of Digimon World: New Order consists of a short lesson. There will come a time in your adventure in Digimon World when you may give your character a name of your choosing.
Upon your return to the Digital World seven years later, you find yourself greeted by two enormous digimon, later revealed to be your companions. In this section, players will get their feet wet with the game’s controls as they learn to lead and assist their allies in combat against a Machinedramon, one of many enemies they’ll encounter.
The strength of the relationships formed between tamer and partner Digimon determines how successful it is to strategically give the Digimon their next command, which will assist them overcome their opponents. Remember that as you go further into the Digimon World, the difficulty of the adversaries you face will rise. It’s great fun to stomp on weaker foes, but I soon learned that I needed more preparation before I could take on some of the most formidable challenges the game has to offer. Even though the game’s combat might vary from easy and dull to difficult and thrilling, they’re always enjoyable.
The Digiworld Recreation
In previous Digimon World games, you only had to care for and train one Digimon Partner before engaging in battle. In Next Order, you’ll be responsible for two. Each of your companions will require your attention and protection as they enter fight at the same time. The Machinedramon has been making appearances in the Digital World, and you and your new allies have been entrusted with figuring out why. You must also track down friendly Digimon that fled the city when the Machinedramon attacked and persuade them to return to aid in the city’s reconstruction. In the process of doing so, they have to battle the renegade Digimon that plague the Digital World.
Digimon World: Next Order’s visual style is comparable to that of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, so you can anticipate the same character and Digimon designs, as well as the same vibrant colour palette. As a Digimon uses an attack or special ability, as well as during the pumped-up sequences when you see your Digimon develop or face a boss, the player is treated to entertaining animations and effects.
Final Verdict
Digimon World: Next Order takes the “tamagochi” element and builds a great game upon it, just like its predecessor. This game is perfect for Digimon fans while also working as a fantastic way for newcomers to get their toes wet with this massive franchise.
